Did you know that we can identify different dolphins by their faces? Due to high interest in our recent dolphin face identification paper by the scientific community and various media, the publisher of Marine Mammal Science decided to make the paper freely available to everyone for the rest of the year, regardless of subscriptions to the journal!
We are very happy about that, as we believe in sharing science openly, but could not afford to pay for the Open Access option when we published the paper. Even though as researchers, we always share our work with anyone who asks, many journals require subscriptions to read papers in them. We are therefore very grateful to Wiley for this decision.
